the 1st poster was not far out imo I would say 2.5k to 3k but I would think it will sell better with the Burger kings gone and a set of BBS back on, as for the rest let the new owner remove it all

..that interior might be holding the whole car back in terms of value, not sure many people could live with two tone door cards and cream leatherzzzz

Maybe, but as the owner said, he built the car for his own pleasurerh306 wrote:..that interior might be holding the whole car back in terms of value, not sure many people could live with two tone door cards and cream leatherzzzz
and enjoyment, and that's exactly how things should be.
Can see the pictures now and there is nothing there that can't
be reversed, should any future owner want to.
The most important criteria should be rust, or the lack thereof.

I agree. Like a champagne e39. A standard one with beige aand wood looks horrible but a Champagne edition with the black carpets and constasing door trims with the birch wood looks the tits. This resembles that look to a degree. I like the black hood cover vinyl against the creme.magpie wrote:i like the two tone interior,it ads contrast. At least he has black front seat backs.

^^^^^ That is just wrong. Re the stripes in the OPs car seats, yes, something similar was on the early motorsport convertibles before they put bubble leather in them.

Looks tidy enough, but as mentioned above its a limited market with it having the engine conversion and other mods, it makes classic insurance much more difficult to get which many a E30 is insured on.
I know others have said Ebay with no reserve and that may work. I did it and got more for my cab that the asking price I had on the zone and pistonheads. Bar a set of wheels and lowering springs it was pretty much standard.

Car is currently insured on a classic policy (RH specialist cars) with all mods declared - just over £200 fully comp.Rtaylor2208 wrote:Looks tidy enough, but as mentioned above its a limited market with it having the engine conversion and other mods, it makes classic insurance much more difficult to get which many a E30 is insured on

I wholeheartedly agree.... 95% of your potential customers will too. So with all that tat on you're limiting yourself to 5%....why not make your life easier and make it standard & sell the bits?daimlerman wrote:Seriously.maf260 wrote:Helpful, thanks.daimlerman wrote:Converted car, worth the sum of it's parts.
You know how much you have spent attaching non-standard tat to your car,it's your property so you can fit what you like to it,but this does not add to it's market value.
Rust free, standard spec cars will always fetch good money, tarted up crap is worth as per my post.

Looks good. 4k-ish I reckon, maybe more. I don't think putting it back to "standard" will increase it's value.

I agree not worth putting back to standard as alot of people who like e30s are bruvs and love tat! Car looks ok will attract lots of people!driftwood wrote:Looks good. 4k-ish I reckon, maybe more. I don't think putting it back to "standard" will increase it's value.
