Went to see the car yesterday...
What a beauty, the guy had it resprayed a year ago and its been in his garage since. Interior was liek brand new, seats had been redone in original colour. Wheels were liek new. Engine spot on. Had full history until 2001 with stamps mainly from bmw. Key thing for me was that the mileages in the service book matched up closely with mileages from mots done on the same years - had few months gaps.
I couldn't really fault the car apart from the steering alignment.
If it had been a black or grey etc I probably would have bought it. Red on the e30s is a nice colour but several others are better.
OH, and the above convertible is v impressive!

It was a very nice car. This guy had it for 11 years and most of the services pre 2000 were done at 2-3 garages. I dont know how it went through so many owners. He was the 14th.
You'd expect such a car to have been clocked a few times, battered around every round about etc but this did look genuine!

Wouldn't budge from £4500.

That's not a bad price. These are only going in one direction so grabbing a good one could have you sitting pretty.

I am giving up my search for a good e30 for now. Seems like people want around 6k+ for cars that are 'mint.' Even that doesn't guarantee a mint example as there is most probably work that needs to be doing somewhere in the car.
I'll just hope and one day I'm sure one will land in my lap unexpectedly lol.

Keep dreaming buddy. in time these "minters" will be asking a lot more than £6kbeautymeanswheels wrote:I am giving up my search for a good e30 for now. May just get one that needs work and do it over a period of a year or so. Going to see one in the next day or 2
