Can't be that overpriced if people are buying them for 60k...
A car is worth people are willing to pay, if someone is prepared to pay 60k for a Sport Evo then that's what it's worth.

Nope. I wouldn't pay £60k for an optioned up new m3, or whatever a new m5 or m6 would cost.pony wrote:Would anyone here if they had £60k budget to buy a car really buy a E30 M3 SE or not ?
Doesn't mean they're not worth that to the people that are prepared to pay that for them.
If you want one, that's what the market dictates you'll have to pay.
cheers,

Certainly wouldn't spunk it on an M3 CSL or even half that! I would, if funds permitted, blow my load on an E9 CSL though but you wouldn't understand stylepony wrote:Would anyone here if they had £60k budget to buy a car really buy a E30 M3 SE or not ?
I've not driven a Sport Evo so cannot comment on whether I think they are worth it or not, but there is a massive sporting heritage that goes with these so maybe they are worth it?

Being from Ilford, I realize style ,class and heritage are alien concepts to you
Let me guess, you would rather a 458 than a Boxer ? I thought so

Says the bloke from Iver Heath who shops at Co-Op
Actually the new Boxster with a few nice options like sports exhaust, BOSE, LSD, sat nav, manual would be fantastic motor. Would set me back 42k though. High quality product but not attention whore grabbing like a fezza ie less likely to get scratched etc.
Probably prefer 430 Scud over 458 or 575M manual over 458 but what do I know I never driven a fezza .... Hold on I did a 360CS once on an experience thing but the driving instructor who was an old man would not let me cane it at 8000 rpm. Wanting to protect engine etc. looking back maybe because of the noise maybe.

He was comparing Ferrari 458 with Ferrari boxer in the same context and E30 M3 sport Evo with E46 M3 CSL.
Faggy boxsters do not even come into it.

Poor Soni, what are we going to do with you ?
I should have known that somebody who thinks motoring nirvana is a carboned up dragger with a spastic gearbox and a creaky boot floor , would know nothing about cars
Boxer =Angry cantankerous mans car , driven / pushed by serious gentlemen which just happens to be a visual masterpiece .
Boxster = Pleasant capable sporty shopping type tram for gaylords/bruvs/spivs and those who cannot afford a 911, which just happens to be a dumpy strangely proportioned turd.
James Hunt had a 6.9 Merc and a Boxer
The One Direction fags have Boxsters
Got it ?

Nice car but not worth the £40k mark with 13 previous owner gives an indication its not really a keep (considering Jay Kay has more then enough money to keep it) and it has been priced because Jay Kay is the owner or otherwise it would be at least £10k cheaper

The CSL of JK was professionally restored by the new owners of Munich Legends. Cost £££££.Fastroad wrote:Nice car but not worth the £40k mark with 13 previous owner gives an indication its not really a keep (considering Jay Kay has more then enough money to keep it) and it has been priced because Jay Kay is the owner or otherwise it would be at least £10k cheaper
Also what is everyone's opinion of buying a car with high owners ? No or Yes ? I know most of M3 CSLs generally have high owners as do other high performance cars.

A one / low owner, low mileage car is ALWAYS worth more than an identical car with several owners . Many owners whose names end in a vowel is VERY bad news, I;E DalEpony wrote:The CSL of JK was professionally restored by the new owners of Munich Legends. It was up for sale a while back for £16K
http://www.jameslaurencecars.com/showro ... =344739965
Then apparently this current dealer bought it and has done "work" to it to justify the price. No idea what he's done though. Stories of full respray/rust repair. Someone has gloss painted the sideskirts. (Should be satin) Also seems to have lost 10K miles from the James Laurence ad. But that might be a typo.
Has anyone local been to look at it in the metal?

I thought that but wasn't sure, thanks for confirming i'm not blind.harry_p wrote:Numberplates are also an mot fail, boot badge is in the wrong place, and it either has standard concentric front arm bushes, or eccentrics fitted wrong as the wheel is sitting wonky in the arch.
Looks tidy, and is a nice spec, but not quite the mint original car the advert suggests.
That thing has concentric bushes on for sure. Bad sign, very bad sign.
