I've used Toyo T1R's in both 205/55/15 and on the 16's - 225/45/16 rear (just bought a pair!) - can't remember the front size!!!
Deffo more comfortable on 15's and passengers have noticed too!!! As i said though, my car is on coilys, etc and is pretty harsh!!!
I've always been pretty happy with the T1R's, but find they can overheat quite easily on a track day - though it could be my poor pressure monitoring causing issues!!! Or just my driving!!!
Also had some bridgestones on 15's and they were pretty good in the dry and awesome in the wet!!!
Soft compounds will deffo give good grip (in the dry at least!!), but may not last as long!!!
personal opinions on wheel size?
