Maybe it should just be for quattroporte owners, their turds should be pretty safe !
I certainly don't want my whereabouts advertised thank you very much!! And to be fair they are as gay as how much threads tbh!! I get where your coming from but just think it's a bit pointless. Personally it wouldn't bother me having a thread about it but in practise I wouldn't want my whereabout advertised so it has to be a no from me.
I suggested this last November when the mods asked for input on the future of the forum, but was shot down, was told "that's what the register is for" I felt like I offended people by suggesting it!
I hadn't noticed the register before then and it looks a good idea, I will be putting my motors on it soon. But the register only really works if you know the model you saw.
But I can see people's point that they don't want the location of their car advertised incase it gets stolen, Though I'd imagine that if someone really wanted to steal a car they could just surf the forum for say "M3 threads" and could probably with a bit of research (checking the owners other posts/threads) find out roughly where the owner lived then go steal it. That is the risk you run when posting pictures and details of your motor etc in a public forum.
We have a "was it you" section on SXOC and I like it, is fun to check if the bloke you got a thumbs up from is on the forum.

They have something similar on CSL Register (M3 CSL) ; M3 Cutters (M3)
I think is a good idea why not .... The E30 is rare nowadays .... As long as the information does not mean stolen E30s
Btw I saw an original 7 Series B Registration 728i parked near where I live .... I did not get a proper look .... But looked alright .... Hardly see any of these ever .... Except at BMW Car Club GB Show ....
