Cheers mate, I'd always do what I'd think was best anyways!! Have to say though that my choice and opinion in styling a car has changed now from what I used to prefer 10years ago. So maybe one day I will just appreciate the car for the OEM looks?Staty wrote:Guys come on!! "In your opinion you wouldn't put eye brows on etc" If everyone had the same E30'S it would be a boring e30 world we live in, i say do what ever you want to do with it bud, what ever style you want to go for, just do it. However saying that, i've recently got my E30 cab and i've done the complete opposite to what you are thinking of doing, changed the blacked out kidney grill, put the standard indicators & side repeaters back on & took off the eye brows. Why? Because i love the original way a E30 looks, you however may prefer the slightly more modified look, if so fair play.
You know that time when you just type and before you know it you've just been ranting on for a bit, well that was then
Lovely looking e30, enjoy it
Stat
Cheers buddy

Cheers for your help buddy...Rav335uk wrote:Your car, if you like them go for it.gillsl500 wrote: Well I'm thinking of doing the following and would appreciate some ideas with regards to where to start or even new ideas too. It's all cosmetic stuff really and not sure if I really want to mess around with the performance side of things just yet?
1) thinking about getting hold of some eye brows...any body know where I could get some?
15" RM's in 8j and 9j will be about £800+ for a fully refurbed set.gillsl500 wrote: 2) thinking of going for either BBS RS or RM's or even the DZ Exclusives? How ever have no idea on size of wheels, so any ideas welcome?
15" RS's, there's a set on sale here from "CharlieOgden"
16" RS's, hope you have deep pockets, as they are about £2.5k for 4x100
DZ Exclusives, good hunting to find a set.
Me, done loads for Zoners on here.gillsl500 wrote: 3) smoked head lights or even smoked lights all round? Any body know where I could get some from?![]()
Be careful, as usually Gaz ones will rub on the front wheels and you'll need spacers to clear the spring seat.gillsl500 wrote: 4) Coilovers? But don't know if i'l need them, suppose depends on size of wheels? Any suggestions?
Car looks Nice.
So how much would it cost to get my lights smoked and what method do you use?
Also I'd just be cruising in her, so would coilovers be wasted? Im not sure if I want to slam her or lower her even further? At the moment the rear is 60mm and front 40mm? Any advice appreciated?
Cheers buddy

There would be three rules on here if I were king:
1. OEM, right down to the oil filter (and no aftermarket headunits either)
2. Spelling and grammar to be 100% at all times - three strikes and you go to Zone jail for a stretch
3. No eyebrows

ignore all the bawbags who think standard is the only way. stick any tat you want on it, its your car. by the looks of the e36 thats exactly what youll do anyway.
on a side note id maybe set my sights a little higher if an e30 was my dream car.

Very nice looking car as it stands,
(Put it this way, I'll keep photos as examples for when I start mine !!)
At the end of the day though, it's your car so you do with it what you wish,

The ones I supply are Bosch and half the price of the Hellas, and do the same thing.
I'm sure a zoner will be along to clarify the workmanship on mine.
I use crosshairs that are laser cut to suit the Bosh lamps and look exactly the same.

If you Got "Haters",Then your doing something Right!
CR24v??? Where's it all gone?? LOL

What spec is this car? 318,325??
- eyebrows, lights, wheels, suspension... Do it all if you like and keep the original parts for if you ever want to put it back to standard.
Everyone has a difference in opinion on what they like, so just do what you like
