40 hour days
10 day weeks with 5 day weekends
Then PERHAPS I may get it done for the December Track day!
See my www below for pics

What are you planning to plug it with as I need to do mine. I snapped the wiper arm 6 months ago replacing the blade and still haven't bothered removing the whole lot!320Touring wrote: Finish off removal of rear wiper (still hole covered with insulation tape after 8 months)

Well if Fuzzy can get away with putting a whole engine in I reckon a small rubber plug is fine!320Touring wrote:i was thinkng (heresy i know) but maybe the rubber gromit of the rear of the poverty spec mk 3 fiestas that didnt have rear wash wipe?JoeP wrote:What are you planning to plug it with as I need to do mine. It looks like Steviec might have a set for sale and he is a lot closer and the correct pattern. Any idea what they are worthSimon13 wrote:i'll take a pic, pretty sure they are not that pattern but same colour i think.
They have done 137,000 miles and are as good as they get, they are in a car i have.

Tomorrow and Sunday:
Black Diamond pads (front only) and see if I can find the brake/clutch fluid leak
iS suspension, rears only as I haven't got spring compressor handy
15in BBS (moving from 14in 195 -> 15in 205)
Front bumper.
Car should be a lot nicer after this weekend.
Longer term I'm working on my homebrew maf conversion and at Chrismas I'll either have a welded diff or cash to by an lsd asap.
Oh, and also at christmas I'll put the engine back on its mounts as it practically fallen off! Had to remove fan cowling...

engine mounts are cheap enough ashley! they cost less than u spend on a student nite out on a bender!!! easy to replace as the engine is so light!hoshy wrote:Tomorrow and Sunday:

Do you have to get under the car to do them ? I've not looked yet. I'm hoping not.

Zone chip will be a bit pointless if you LPG it, since the LPG ECU does it's own fueling.320Touring wrote:I've came up with a list of possible mods/repairs for my touring-some are a bit "whacky"
Suspension
H&R cup kit/Lowering springs (depends on cash!)
2 new front balljoints
Exhaust
New standard Exhaust
Interior
2 door Front Seats
New Rear "cubbyhole" covers
Wheels and Tyres
4 new tyres (currently winging their way from camskills)
BBS cleaned up and possibly refurbed (on the cheap! Ԛ£50 a wheel=no!)
Engine
325i TB/Manifold
Zone Chip
LPG kit (if cheap enough)
Exterior
Finish off removal of rear wiper (still hole covered with insulation tape after 8 months)
2 new front wings
Respray (yes ALPINE WHITE!)
Diff
2.97 diff off an ETA (no more 4k rpm at 80mph for me!)

I know brian, but Ԛ£55 is a helluva lot less than Ԛ£650ish for an LPG kit, so possibly more likely!.Brianmoooore wrote: Zone chip will be a bit pointless if you LPG it, since the LPG ECU does it's own fueling.
also having the zone chip there would allow me to have more "pep" when running it on Petrol (if I fancy a blast etc) as the LPG kit I would get will probably be an "older style one"
