M20b25 mpg?

Yes i get around 27mpg according to the obc. It was running rich but after clearing out the throttle body its rnuunig nice and smooth.

The other thing i was going to say was, ive fitted an electric fan , ill probably be told that it has nothing to do with mpg, but it only comes on when its needed, doesnt put a strain on the water pump in any way. And in traffic you cant feel the effects unlike a viscous which can be heard and felt

How can you get rid of the viscous fan!?

It unbolts from the water pump pulley does it not?

You then just need to replace the bolts with shorter ones if necessary, and fit an electric fan instead.

I know but why would you do that! The propellor sound is lovely!

Well, if you're chasing every last mpg, an electric fan can save some. As can folding down the rear seats!

I understand that but to be fair when buying an E30 and picking an M20 you should know what to expect...
