E36's have sh1t all on an E30 for driving pleasure, unless your tanking it around, pushing its limits (i.e. track). I miss my E30 every day - the sound of the M20 especially.
Plus, there's way less to go wrong on an E30. Surely that's a good thing for running costs?

Thing is its much easier to get a nice E36 which does not need a long list of things doing like most E30's now.andrew_baran wrote:E36's have sh1t all on an E30 for driving pleasure, unless your tanking it around, pushing its limits (i.e. track). ^^ this is pretty much what i was going to say, e36 if you want to go as fast as possible, and carry that through the corners. ie if you want to go racing.bss325i wrote:The E36 chassis has higher grip levels and is a lot more composed which means rapid progress is easier than in an E30.
The E30 chassis is cruder and has lower grip levels but this is what makes is fun, concentration and skill is needed for rapid progress and this is what makes them fun!![]()
I like them both, and E46's for that matter!
e30 if you want a car to test and build your skills while giving more feed back at lower speeds.
e30 for the road - e36 for the track.
(or actually z4 for the track with its lower polar moments of inertia and lower cog)
