Corkin idea for a road trip
Moderator: martauto
I may be collecting the turd a little earlier than expected. The seller needs to move it from it's current location so I said he can leave it in our car park. It will give me a chance to give it a good clean and inspect all the broken bits.
I can't believe I'd ever get so excited about the arrival of a 320i auto moredoor. It could be one of those signs I'm getting old...

Hope the car is a good 'un.
Trip sounds epic, certainly worth a go. Don't forget to charge your camera! ;)
We did France>Switzerland>Italy>Austria>Germany>Belgium>Back to UK in a week and a half using a £350 Rover 800. Super banter, great fun. Genuinely the kind of holiday experience you will remember for the rest of your life.

My uncle worked for the Saudi Air Force in the sixties. After his time was up he rode his motorbike back - but he only got as far as Italy before stacking it and spending quite some time in hospital.

I know my way around an E30 'reasonably' well and as the mate who is up for the trip knows nothing about cars other than where the petrol goes, no doubt I will be responsible for keeping the turd roadworthy throughout the journey.bmw9818 wrote:sounds cool you should do it,

I think once I have the car and I'm mobile, I will go on the hunt for some E30 scrap in the local yards and see what I can salvage..
