Just thought I'd add to this, there's a guy local to me that's got a Diamond Black H27 on a G plate, based on a M-tech II sport, the car was stunning, lucky b@*$rd got the car for 1k from a local car sales as it was in as a part ex, and the salesman didn't have a clue, the idiot crashed it in some local lanes a while back, last i heard he bought it back from the insurance company, not sure if he's still got it though..

That is a very, very sad story SimonSimon wrote:Just thought I'd add to this, there's a guy local to me that's got a Diamond Black H27 on a G plate, based on a M-tech II sport, the car was stunning, lucky b@*$rd got the car for 1k from a local car sales as it was in as a part ex, and the salesman didn't have a clue, the idiot crashed it in some local lanes a while back, last i heard he bought it back from the insurance company, not sure if he's still got it though..

I have a Hartge H36 (3.6 M5) in my E30 M3 cabrio, which came out of an E30 M3. Apparently the original 2.3 engine for the car never saw a mile, the car was converted from production in Germany and has 88,000 kmh on the clock at present, and i have most of the paperwork. I know this does not make my car a genuine H36 as i done the conversion myself but i bought, the engine, gearbox, prop, diff and exhaust system which i think was changed from the original one. The ECU has also been chipped but that was a mod the previous owner done himself. I think I was kind of lucky myself. Had the car on the dyno down at bexleys, and they were impressed and confirmed to me along with Sal off the zone that its a genuine Hartge. So my car had a total transplant, not that this would help if i sold it, but its nice to drive. here are a couple pictures but i am sure you have seen them already. I have been told it has an M6 dog leg gearbox and i will try to get some pictures up of the sump as i believe i will need someones help in getting one made, one day.

I have recently picked up an H23 in Sydney. It is fairly tired condition and is currently in Melbourne getting the mechanics/suspension sorted. After that, I will bring it down to Tasmania, where I will have the paintwork done. Interior is in good nick, but needs a real good detail.
Pics below of its current tired state (I do have the original front bar - but it needs some work and isn't fitted at present - and it has all 4 rims):

Wow loving the Hartge's going on in this thread. Happy and surprised to see iirc 3 of these are soutwest motors.
I will definately be keeping my eyes out for them in the future.
Also there was another Hartge (possibily 2 but unsure if one was just rims) that hasn't appeared here yet that were present at the Southwest Cheddar Gorge meet.
I would presume he/she were e30zone or at least bmwcarclub members to have known it was on? I will look through my pics of the meet when I get home and see if I got them on camera
