Right small update. I contacted BMW park lane and got through to the person dealing with classic parts who incidently knows my current parts manager well.
Basicly i asked how much mileage there is in this "any part for any car" proppergander and he said that he doubts thats strictly true but Germany has to be contacted in the first intance for an NLA part and then its down to them weather they remake it or not.
I guess that will depend on demand!
He asked what type of car i was looking for parts for and told him E30 to which his response was most parts are still available.
He also asked what parts i was interested in and told him floor mats and body shells to which his response was that shells might not be remade as they are "a big part". None the less he took the part number for the 2dr facelift shell (i gave him that one as its the cheapest) and he said he would email Germany and then email me with the response.
He also asked if i had heard about the reintroduction of NLA parts in Cassic Car magazine to which i told him that i read about it in BMW Car magazine and a feauture in the Times.
I also told him that i was an active member on various BMW forums and that the general consensous is that there is a damand for NLA parts, E30's in particular.
I think if people really want to get the ball rolling then the demand will need to be there so, if you really want genuine BMW floor mats or what ever then get phoning BMW Park lane or BMW Germany.
