What type of bonnet to body/wing seal?

My M3 has got a seal between the bumper and the panel too, and all the others I've seen have got it too.

The M3 seals are Ԛ£12.77+vat each(L/Seal 51 71 2 233 121 R/Seal 51 71 2 233 122) and the normal one's part no.51 71 1 933 209 x2 are Ԛ£2.44+vat.I have just ordered the M3 one's for mine

OK - the M3 one is on the left below and is visible with the bonnet shut. The one on the right is to be low-profile plastic, high-profile rubber or non-existant depending on the car.cros wrote:On mine there was just a sealing rubber strip across the bulkhead ending 2 inches down the front wing wings. The ETK has plastic strips that run the rest of the way down the wing. I got a set of these off a scrap car.
Did they fall off mine at some stage or were they some sort of remedial cure for rattles?
