318iS vs 318i Suspension?

Where do you guys usually get your parts like this?

I have a feeling ECP and GSF are just going to get this all wrong!

I'm already a bit confused myself what with all the combinations. Just found an online diagram and that mentions a second damper on the front

I changed all the suspension on my iS and wanted it as OE as possible without paying main dealer prices.

What i found was the original parts were made by Sachs/Boge and you can by new springs fron Motorforce for £70 made by Sachs/Boge. They sell them as -35mm lowering springs which they would be on a standard 318i but on an iS they lower by 15/20mm.

The drop is barely noticable on mine, I can PM you a pic if you want.
The only difference I notice is my mudflaps rub on some of the bigger speed bumps. No change in ride quality though.

Boge gas/oil dampers are available from GSF (p/n 513BM0041 on the receipt I have) for £40 each.

Just got off the phone to a BMW dealer and thought I would post a quote for comedy value.

New front & rear springs and dampers (including the holder things) £2180

Its good to know you can still get them, but I can't even begin to work out how they can justify that price.
