it makes me laugh at times when the stories crop up on here about getting stop by the 5-0.

in the past three weeks i've had a "little chat" with them once a week 8O
first time was three week's ago when i was taking me G/F home & seeing as it was a dark foggy night i had my fog loghts on (as you do) driving down a winding empty back road (a short cut that most folk round here know) & because it's a single track road when i saw another car comming the other way towars a sharp bend i pulled over to let them past,

turns out the other car was a copper who pulled over & flashed me to come past which i did & put my hand up to say thanks, any my G/F looks back & see's the cop car's reverse light's come on & turn round (which she told me about) & follow me for nearly 2 mile's to the next village where they put on the full show of light's & sirens to get me to stop.

anyway i stopped & one of them came uo to my window & told me to wind it down as i did this he reached in & took the key's from the ignition  .

he then orderd me out the car & proceeded to question me like i was a suspected murderer.
all the while his mate is givin my G/F the 3rd degree & trying to upsett her.

after 10 min's of this B/S i was told i could go & they let me have my key's back.

2nd time, like a complete spactard i had locked my key's in the car & i was outside my mum's with a rubber door stop & a metal coat hanger (yes you know what i was doing) & while i was doing that they went driving past only to turn round & come back & start accussing me of trying to steal the car  .

thankfully i had my tax reminder in the car along with my mot & insurance papers & after they had checked them let me go & told me not to lock my key's in the car again :o: .

3rd time. this morning, i was heading back to mine from my G/F's via town (needed feal & fags) & part way back i came to a cross roads where i was going straight on & i saw the cop car cmming the other way but thought nowt of it, any way off i go on my way with the jam sarnie behind me sticking to the speed limit, got to the garage & the cop car pulled in behind me & i ignored it & went about my bussines, so after filling up with fuel (pennyless loser?? not me lol) i went into the shop to pay & while i'm stood in the que i get a hand on my shoulder & a voice from behinds telling me to step outside as they would like a word about my "dangerous" driving at the cross road.

thing is there where two of them in the car & the driver had told his mate that the way i pulled off from the junction was way to fast but after i pleaded my case i was let off with a severe telling off.

turns out the copper who had a go the first time was the same one who was determined to pull me today for no proper reason.

so just to be on the safe side i took his number & when i got home rang his station & made a full complaint about his attitude towards me both times he stopped me.

here's the bst bit..................turns out there have been quite a few complaints about him & they are looking at sacking him, it couldn't happen to a nicer bloke if you ask me.
if it's got t*ts or wheels it's bound to be trouble...............prove me wrong.
getting oral sex off an ugly person is like rock climbing.....don't look down ;)

This is very true, what you will find now is people are signing up to the police JUST for the job security and pensions at the end! Sign up, keep your head down doing as little as possible for 20 odd years and job done. Its wrong and it pi55es me off, and they think 'were' the scum!

Honest people going about their job? LIKE F*CK ARE THEY!!

I agree - think that they see motorist as a means of generating income, easy target. I noticed in the main town centre near here, there were :x about 6 cops stopping motorists (one of they taxis and buses only deals)....50 yards away behind the shops were the chavs drinking and got knows whatever else. :x

I love the police. They always help out with stuff, plus the locals let us know in advance when their traffic cousins are setting up mobile cameras.

How's the back Dan? At least you didn't break the tailgate.

Seems to be a lot of negativity towards the police these days, and I can totally understand.

Problem with the police force is it's being run like a business instead of a service, government set targets, an they've got to try and meet the figures. Unfortunatley, this is going to lead to officers seeking easy targets, instead of solving the crimes that matter.

And, to make matters worse, the justice system is rubbish, offenders repeatedly arrested, and because of the cps, they are back out doing the same things days later. Can't be easy seeing this happen day in day out...

Personally, I've got a lot of respect for them, tough job, especially with the attitude towards them, yes, there are some w@nkers out there, but you will meet w@nkers anywhere in day to day life.

And no, I ain't a copper, but I do work very closely with them, especially traffic, couple of them women too winkeye

I will have to ask them if they want to make some additions to the babes and beemers thread...

Motorcycle Cops are always proper.

Calm, professional and only pull you / give you shit of you if you deserve it. Because only smart experienced types can be in that division. Not some pimpley tosser fresh out of Hendon who can't wait to get back at all the kids that bullied him at school.

I parked a 325i Touring I was 'tidying' up on a double red in Central London (electrics just died randomly). The interior looked horrific, no trim and wires everywhere - a real dodgy looking thing but totally legal and in great mechanically. Within minutes I had some tosser young Cop duo giving me hell, talking about impounding the car as it was a liability and all kinds, saying they could get a robot in to blow the car up if they wanted - never mind the car just died. 8O

Their back-up SUPERIOR officer arrives on Motorcycle (BMW winkeye). He calmly walks upto the car. Checks tires (spanking new Pirellis). Checks the front/rear subframe, wishbones/brakes etc - actually got on the floor with a torch. Then asks me if I was renovating the car. I nodded.

He then told the other two amateurs the car is in excellent roadworthy condition mechanically and I have broken no law (I had just renewed a ton of stuff under there). He asked me if I could start the car and then asked me how to signal in the absence of indicators so I could drive it somewhere safer. He then let me on my way and seemed to respect the fact that a youngish guy knew a bit about cars in the 21st Century as I explained to him the work I had done as he carried out his search.
THAT is a proper Copper, not some retarded oik with a badge who watches too much TV.

I think your kind of missing the point Ratch... If a vehicle looks like sh1t, it ussually and probably is. You cant honestly expect every officer to be trained vehicle inspectors which is why they called in the motorcycle friend who was. So they were wrong, big deal, human error, hardly worth getting in a sh1tty about.

I do believe that there are good and bad in all walks of life......... I dont know if tosser jobsworths are attracted to the job or if they turn to the darkside once they'r in, but they have more than their fair share.

Today I went to the cop shop to ask some advice about paying a fixed penalty (caught by the fuzz on the phone), before I had finished explaining things he started shaking his head and butted in saying that, I couldn't pay the fine there (I knew that), and if I couldn't be bothered to pay in the 28 days then I will to go to court and deserve every thing i get. For that he put on his "talking to crackheads" voice. He was well pleased with himself.

I told him the payment was not overdue and asked him why I had to pay by cheque, I also reminded him that this is the 21st century, a time of technology and paying for stuff over the phone. He told me there was a phone number on the back of my fixed penalty slip, I handed him the slip, he couldn't find the number, it wasn't there. It was at that exact point that he realised, he didnt need the inch thick glass that we were talking through, a stab vest, or his stinking attitude, he needed a BRAIN. He scuttled off and came back with one, the rarest kind, a good looking female one :D all it took to quell the situation was a smile and some banter, she gave me the number to call to pay over the phone, and I waved a farewell to laughing boy.

I then took me a hour of phone calls to sort out, all the fixed penalty offices have merged into one in south wales, but none of the police stationary has been altered to state this, it will, but not until they run out and need to print some more. A receptionist told me this at one of the many numbers that I phoned.

Back to the cop shop incident, no one likes being spoken to like they have just fallen out of a dogs bottom, especialy if all they want is advice, but that is what happens when you give the wrong people a little bit of power. I have also had dealings with some sound coppers and these are the ones who comand the respect.

Oh and dont get a ticket in south wales the whole system is fubar!!

Hold on. He admitted to us that he was going a little faster with a bald tyre earlier in his journey. And you give out about the cops ? If his driving and the bald tyre had ended up in a serious accident (thankfully it did not) then those same cops have the job of knocking on the door of the family to deliver the bad news.
to be honest im speaking in general about the police and their attitudes, they spend too much time and money trying to catch people speeding, there was a mobile speed trap near ours the other week with 7 coppers just standing around, now surely 5 out of those 7 could be put to use in some other areas. maybe investigating other crimes etc
jaymos i know what you mean! near the park they had me for my tax disc not been in the window, was on the dash as it fell off and stung me for £60! the copper had the legal tax disc in his hand!!!!!!! police round here are very petty and silly.

I think you've missed the point - I outlined the one good experinece I've had, usually outweighed by the thousands of coonts I've met when I really didn't have anything fishy going on. Kinda ironic.

The right policeman will assess the situation as it stands, not act like a w4nker and jump to conclusions.

The Force attracts a certain type of person these days. Anyone born after 1970 is going to be an awful copper. :D
