gdbn, i got it from a mate who also has a touring, and his bro had a 320 from 86 (where the skirt cane from)

he offered it to me for free! so i had it :D

id say it could be done,


making tape on the outside. fiberglass on the inside,.. make a skin,


reinforce with more f/glass,

filler outide, sand to smooth off

prime all, sand and paint.

(in theory its a doddle. in theory :roll: )


giles mate u can have it gratis, i cant do anything with it so you can have a go, if it dont work out then u didnt loose anything


apart from the post / cost to collect / cost to deliver, fiberglass, primer , paint, sandpaper......and finaly your sanity and anything that was close to hand when u lost controll and freaked out :lol:

up to u fella, shame u dont live on fyn or jylland :(

another option would be to alter your 'zorst so that it exited at the middle at the rear (a la e28)???

wish it was that easy :( the cut out is on the upper edge. so the pipe would need to curl round the back valence and then straighten up as it came out the back

ahh right! damn :x :x

could patch it like you suggest, sp if you could "clamp" the fibreglass whilst it was drying, to ensure it was straight.

deffo looks saveable for someone with the patience :cool:
