It did in a stright line but i had him in the twistys becuase he couldnt get the power down, i know it should beat me but it didn'tBob_S wrote:the corsa will pee pee on an e30 too matey

I suppose stacking a 10k car is different to stacking a car worth a gnat's short of fifty pence.pac1982 wrote:It did in a stright line but i had him in the twistys becuase he couldnt get the power down, i know it should beat me but it didn'tBob_S wrote:the corsa will pee pee on an e30 too matey
Must be down to luck

The guy in question is a nutter to put you more in the picture he used to drive a Corsa B with a red top so as you can imagine he drives his VXR like he stole it.Bob_S wrote:I suppose stacking a 10k car is different to stacking a car worth a gnat's short of fifty pence.

Well your tyres must provide more efficient grip than his..pac1982 wrote:The guy in question is a nutter to put you more in the picture he used to drive a Corsa B with a red top so as you can imagine he drives his VXR like he stole it.Bob_S wrote:I suppose stacking a 10k car is different to stacking a car worth a gnat's short of fifty pence.
I was really surprised my self his cars even running several of the performance upgrades available from Vauxhall so he really should have beaten me but it just wouldn’t let him put the power down round the bends.
I know he was giving it his all as I heard him bounce it off the rev limiter.
At the end of the day it just goes to prove that its move about the driver than the car when it comes to down to it.

There’s always ifs and buts lets take an extreme hypothetical situation you in you in a civic type R vs the stig in a mint and healthy 318IS round the ring I think the stig would win, unless that is of course you happen to also be a professional race driver.
Now don’t get me wrong I’m not one of the delusional IS owners I didn’t even intend to go out and buy an 318IS is just so happened that one came up for sale near me but anyway I digress, I don’t matter who has the fastest car its about how you use it and who has the best line to get around a corner

Lol thats a race i'd like to see!fuzzy wrote:what about if michael schumacher was driving the civic?pac1982 wrote:d6dph wrote:Jesus wept, What is going on on here of late. A CTR will cream an IS. No ifs, No buts.

Pre BTB has served many a so called "Hot Hatch" and even a CTR in a straight line drag, post BTB.d6dph wrote:Well I guess the M3 is a good match but the all conquering 325i sport (Even sans BTBbss325i wrote:I beg to differ on that front dave.d6dph wrote:It's not a baby M3, it is a sewing machine. We are talking factory cars here, Not molested, Tuned and tweeked cars. You have to look at it like for like.
Thats a bit rich coming from a galvaniser owner!pac1982 wrote:delusional 6 pot owners tut tutbss325i wrote:I beg to differ on that front dave.d6dph wrote:It's not a baby M3, it is a sewing machine. They are good cars but sadly no factory E30 is a match for todays hot hatches.

Clio 172/182's
Focus ST170's
Mk4 Golf GTi turbos
Audi S3's
etc etc etc.
Many people have comented on how quick my sport is for a 325i with some even going as far to say its the fastest 325i they have been in.
Simons C2 2.7 struggles to pull away
The bottom line is is a healthy low mileage, fastidiously maintained car unlike most of the worn out scrap out there.
So what does tha make you car?pac1982 wrote:bss325i wrote:

You must have beaten better things than this i:ve seen modified 2 stroke scooters beat most of those things above

My foreman had a 03 Type R and we used to have it everynight along the long slip road and I didn't ever get near to passing him and if I gained it was cos I had better traction of the roundabout. he then bought a 05 prodrive WRX and that wasn't much of a race although these days he doesn't race anymore since he gets a proper twatting these days
uptodate subaru WRX prodrive vs 20yr old e30 with boost.....
