I was refering to the 325 6-pot rightness
Silly post... was very tired and it was very late
having owned a 318is and a 320 i would have to say my favourites for 4 and 6-pot would have to be the 318is which has cheaper insurance and 325 which is quicker

thats all i was trying to say ..... i think
Yep had both 318is and 325i myself - both good cars!
Cheers,
Robin

I think they make sense as a cab as a cabs hardly a performance car - more for cruising, and you can actually hear the engine properly in a cab, the 320's a nice sounding motor. So why not? Cheaper to insure too.
Personally I think anyone who pays more than a grand on insurance is insane, you're just throwing your money away. Why not wait a year or two, till you're older & the price comes down a bit - try a different car, be it a lesser e30 or something else.

Most I ever forked out on insurance was the 1st year I owned my crx, I think that was heading on Ԛ£800. Before that when I was younger I drove a car with all of 54bhp, but it handled like a go-kart (with its 15:1 steering ratio) was rwd and cost less than Ԛ£300 to insure - great fun as you had to keep your momentum up at all costs.

So theres shits and giggles to be had in much cheaper cars too, why stretch yourself, you've years ahead of you to own your dream cars.
Cheers,
Robin

Can i add my thoughts ?
I have not long moved from 320 to 325 and its true i do grin a lot more when im in the 325 than when i was in the 320 , but having said that , i remember when i first got in the 320 the grin was the same , all you have to remember is that your goin in the right direction and the 320 is just a stepping stone to the mighty 325 !

At the end of the day do you think that im staying with the 325 , i like to think that its a stepping stone to the M3 .

Also if it makes you feel any better i still have the 320, just cant bring myself to get rid of it ! ! !

depends if it *will* come down much in a year or two though, for some people (inc myself) it will take a few more years. way i see it is, just don't stretch yourself for insurance. only pay it if it's comfortable to pay!

Thats one thing that "really" annoyed me about having an E30, every year i paid over Ԛ£1k and i probably would have this year come renewal. And they probably wouldnt have paid up if anything happened!

Currently my insurance is Ԛ£800 fully comp for a car thats actually worth far more than the policy! 8O

Oh and back ontopic, id just wait until ur a little older. With hindsight id have saved my pennies and got something quicker and more expensive when i was a little bit older.

The insurance money ive forked out to drive "quicker" cars since i was 19 would have bought me an E30 M3 at my age now (22). :(
