I can understand that this gut must be really pissed off: His car is off the road and he's got the wrong part for it. My car is off the road and I'm having real trouble trying to find a cost effective solution that won't end in tears again in 1000 miles. I know what it's like when your pride and joy is off the road.
This chap has come along and supplied a part in mint condition (apparently) which is unfortunately wrong. Reading the posts it seems he is trying his best to be sorting it out which appears to be not good enough because the other guy is so pissed off. A bit of a stalemate situation.

You're both going to have to move forward, and from my perspective it seems as though the chap in possession of the wrong bit is going to have to calm down. It's only a car. You've got the wrong bit. The world isn't going to end.

When was the last time someone got the wrong part from a large company who then agreed to come wave a magic wand and put you in pocket let alone a one man band?

So my advice: Give the guy a chance, it a genuine simple mistake and you seem to be blaming him for ALL your problems. This is real life, we all make mistakes which can be a real pisser.

how is your 2.5 head worth twice as much as the "rebuilt 2,5 head" u sold richy?

surely the best bet is for u 2 to meet somewhere and either swap heads or u to give richy his Ԛ£Ã”šÃ‚£Ãƒ”šÃ‚£ back.

and its all full and well to say he was happy when he got it, but lets face facts here, it was never gonna be proven to be 100% ok until fitted and shown to be working ok.

and whilst im sure some ppl (myself included) accept its a genuine mistake, i havent once seen you answer anything about the matter of the Ԛ£90 spent on a headset that now has to be rmeoved and cannot be used again.

mark the decent thing to do is to either give richy his money back, or simply straight swap the head u sent him for a proper 2,5 head (in similar condition) AND pay towards the headset costs.

If you're spending Ԛ£90 on a head set you are buying it from the wrong people.
If it has just all been done you should get away with a head gasket and bolts only, with change out of Ԛ£35, all courtesy of GSF and their OE parts.
