I knew it was going to happen.

This morning my Tech 2 sport got stolen, used for a burglary, and then burned out at the back of Slough train station in.

I feel for you, my throat has a big lump in it, one of my pride and joys has gone now... :(

unlucky mate , but it ture i have left my bmw left open unlocked and battery removed and nothing got nicked (dvd screen , amps , subs , cd's) its just luck i guess , but on my escort , sum messed up the petrol cap lock , and passenger side lock , and then then about 4 weeks ago before i sold it , sum nicked both wing mirrors and crossed all the wire's with each other and left it touching the body ,luckyly it was fused. also my mates rover metro they nicked the Jan speed exhaust worth over £400 and left the rest of the car untoched.

Mk1/2 Golfs (and Polos, Sciroccos etc) were incredibly easy to get into - punch through the door skin under the handle and move the latch. Have seen many in scrappers done like that. There was a reinforcement plate sold for them that screwed down underneath the handle and prevented anyone damaging the skin around it - very, very popular mod and did the job well. I used to have a Scirocco - that was the first thing I did to it.

No steering wheel, no drive winkeye winkeye

I know people around my area want my Alpina, and they wouldnt mind nicking it for a drive.
I even had a guy asking me to take him for a little ride when i was filling it up at the pumps, I was like, what the **** was that all aboput! 8O 8O 8O
were i come from you don't need a steering wheel to drive it away ...just a pair of mo grips will do ...seen loads of sports stolen without any lock damage ... winkeye winkeye

A simple switch to short circuit the fuel pump supply wire, and it would have been unlikely to have gone anywhere.

LMAO, and what, blow it up even if my wife tried to start it up and move it onto the road and blow her up inside to lol?

That'd be a good thing to have though. If you can't have it, noone can have it lol!

All that would happen is fuse 11 would blow, and, after that, attempts to hot wire it would fail.
Even if they discovered the blown fuse, a fresh one would fail again.
