At the GTi International at bruntingthorpe last saturday, the quickest 0-60 mph was a mk1 Scrocco which looked fit for the scrappy. 2.5 seconds to 60!!!

Just trying to get an idea of what mine roughly is, pretty much same power at fly but not sure what at wheel power is. Yours probably has more tourque being a V8 though.oze30 wrote:286 bhp and 197lb/ft at the wheelsbss325i wrote:So its about 286 bhp right?oze30 wrote: Yeah, just green cotton air filter.
Hi guys,
I'm clocking 0-60 in about 4sec (low 4's).... but not in my 325. I have a lancia delta integrale which has been tweaked and lightened (a lot).
Currently in the garage... again
which is why I've got the e30!! fast is good but if it doesn't work then about 8 seconds is perfectly adequate and a lot of fun when it rains

If you've gone up the drag strip and had it timed properly you can use the 1/8 et and 1/8 mph to calculate your 0-60 to a decent accuracy. Using a stopwatch and eyeballing the speedo is useless.
Here's the calulator thingy;

According to that my 335i did it in 6.0 seconds at the pod where I wasn't getting a great launch. Should be a bit better now as i've changed a fair bit on the car since then.

My E46 320Ci does it in 8 seconds on a gtech (7.9 in the book) you can put that down to my bad driving
The M54B22 has 170bhp (dont recall the torque off the top of my head, not sure on the weight difference to the E30 but I suspect it's heavier
The Sportster but it's got an M20B28 and weights a lot less than an E30. I'm thinking around 5.5, but that estimate was when it was still a 2.5. Not really tried since as the rebuilt engine is still being run in

You had 4.45... I bet that was interesting... Especially 'around town'murran wrote:with the 4.45 diff and 320i box in my 325i id need a change into 4th to make 60. then again i can do good smokey standing starts in second!

8.8s
82.25mph
0-60 4.6s
I would hate to try and predict a 0-60 time for my old Sport coz she used to spin her wheels for about 10 seconds before launch.......In 1st, 2nd and even 3rd sometimes
......Well 3rd was when it was wet !
