Robin, long time no c my friend

mine was a 5th may 1990 G reg, not much about the history known hence why im willing to give jay a second chance; because all other IS owners rave about em.

So this remap will be interesting

It depends on the place the car was intended to go.
Some cars in the uk were built and destined for south africa although they were shipped direct to the uk due to high demand.

some of the s/a cars used a totally different mapping than those in the uk hence the problems on some of the cars.

Ok guys this has now been running a fair while.

I suggest that zoners hold back from posting (PLEASE) and Jay / Kos make a firm arrangement via pm for this rolling road meet. When finalised post up and you guys can go from there.

So guys - let Jay and Kos have a little breathing space to organise and watch this space !!!!!!!!1

It is only possible when you read the first 8 lines of the binary code.

Out of interest jay I bought an m40 chip from you and I've not got two ECUs one with and one without your viper. when swapping them there is no arse dyno difference but on a WB o2 meter I notice that your chip tends to run slightly leaner.

I have reads of both files if you want.

Edit:
Sorry, read mod post after posting this.

If you mail me the binary code i will gladly take a look.
As for kos, i have no wish to argue and as stated i will go to any rolling road event anywhere in the country to back up my products but as said before this has allready ben proven to the claims that were made here of 17hp so it is kind of pointless but saying that i will still go.

As for the 23hp claims, this is possible when you run high octane fuel and yes, although not all facts were posted i dont see anyone slating bmw when they do it on every M model car for the past 11 years so why do it to me ?

Anyway, im happy to comply with kos at any point, he thinks the chip wont make even 10hp so of course it is in my interest to prove otherwise.

I really dont want to argue with anyone, but i will answer any questions if it helps.

Going to lock this thread now as its original purpose is getting diluted in places by random postings.

This is a dispute simply between two people which if grasped by them both will provide interesting concluding results.

Locking this thread now - new thread with time, date and venue will be posted by Kos :locked:

Actually Jayson was permanently banned from this site a long time ago and is not welcome here so each time he signs up, he'll be banned again.

Jayson: please stay off this forum, you know you have been banned from here and you are not welcome here. We will not be revising our decision to allow you back onto the forum, a permanent ban is a permanent ban.
