Picked it up from the bodyshop where it was having a few minor rust spots repaired before they got any worse.
Looks a tidy job but as it was p!$$ing down I didn't get the opportunity to fully inspect the craftsmanship.

That looks fantastic Ade, love the colour and the chrome together.

Have another piccy.
Hopefully will be looking a whole lot better in a weeks time when all the works finished. Got my tamed welder booked for Saturday, a very good refinisher friend of mine on the paint gun and I'll be doing some prep and refurbishing all the trim.
Also trying to blag some Toyo Proxes off an oval racing pal of mine. Apparently they're banned on the ovals this season and he's got a nearly new set of 15s that would fit lovely on my BBS wheels. The bottletops are then getting a refurb and will be my winter / spare set.

Great stuff, you should start a thread on the members e30s and put up a load of pics so sad people like me can have something to read in the evenings.
Oh don't worry, I'll be taking loads of photos during the refurb. There's an old thread for this car on members E30s which I'll update as the real work gets underway.jimbom30cab wrote:Great stuff, you should start a thread on the members e30s and put up a load of pics so sad people like me can have something to read in the evenings.
Plan is to be ready for the first East Coast Retro meet on the 1st March.

Slowly but surely getting this back to life...
How it looked when I got it:

Couple more jobs on going and done today...
Got tired of ever lock needing a different key, so started rekeying the boot lock to match the ignition key.

Currently stripping down my headlight wiper motors to bring them back to life again

One down one to go.

Cosmetic stuff. Replaced my airbag steering wheel with a MTec 1 which meant replacing the 3 stalks that now were too close to the wheel and installed a lighted mirror I have had for ages.

what a lovely day, sun, blue sky (well sort of), dry salt free roads. So rolled the E30 out the garage , pulled of the covers, connected up the battery. She fired up first time. A quick online tax for 6 months and off we go for a blast. Its been 6 months and 6 months to long.....
