Tried to suss out why the leccy windows stopped working & ended up with windows not working, leccy mirrors not working nor the heater blower  ,

Got the arse with it, so went & put the red tinting film I've got on a spare set of rear lenses to calm down/cheer up,

Will try again monday,

Don't you just love 25yr old scrap lol.
if it's got t*ts or wheels it's bound to be trouble...............prove me wrong.

Rolled it back out of the garage, fired her up and let idle, then put the good back up (it had been down and stored for the last month).

Dust sheets went back on.

I did this last night.

Made and tacked on a new wheel arch lip. Not perfect, but it'll do. Inner arch repair to be finished (eventually) this week. I posted this last night but the post disappeared. Wouldn't normally bother me but after actually achieving something I felt epic and had to share.

Picked up an M52B28 on tuesday, an epic 200 mile round trip, all country lanes in the dark

Stripped it down to a bare block yesterday

Stored it all away today

might make a M52B30 out of it

The aluminium bits were quite powdery as it had been sitting undercover for a while but the crank shells, crank and cylinder bores were all factory fresh.

Had the wheel bearings done a few weeks back and I thought replace everything I could underneath, transforms it well.

Got pulled over in it by a ridiculously excessive number of plod doing 'random spot checks' in the borough. Having been grilled by a lad who seriously looked about 15 (I had to bite my lip and not ask if he was on work experience from school) I was sent on my way as (surprise, surprise) the car is insured, taxed and tested and my property. Just as I told them   :x

Last night, I finished making the inner arch repair panel for the r/h/r. Needs painting before I fit it. I'm making slow, but positive progress. I will update my build thread when II've welded it in.

Replaced cap & rotor with brand new, starts & runs like a champion.
Hopefully that's the damp starting & warm up issue sorted...

Cleaned & flushed the radiator, bled it, put fuel in & went for a blast.
Happy to report, all good. 8)

Might clean it still......

Celebrated the E30's 26th birthday by finally fitting the 325i rear anti-roll bar I bought ages ago.

Took it for its MOT and received another 12 months ticket. :)
