Tank was solid. There is rust on the mounting brackets, and the biggest holes are the access plates which have been removed

There'll be a few on here moist for that turd, unfortunately my expanding fleet of rare rusting scrap and recent elective joblessness rules me out.

After taking advice from the zoners, I opted to use the gliptone materials to refurb the leather. I felt the furniture clinic process actually sealed the leather so it couldn't breathe. Over time, this would become dry and brittle due to its inability to be "fed"
However, ordered the required kit from Gliptone, which I had hoped would arrive before Easter, but this wasn't to be. I started preparing the door cards cleaning off 20 odd years of dirt and grime. I'll post pic next when when I have access to my laptop and photobucket.

Changed the bastard flat battery with a brand new Bosch S5, with which I am extremely pleased.
However, that will teach me to go away on holiday for three weeks leaving the glove box open...
Two headblenders, couple of bags of MC Hammer, 5 litres of FFF, a 48ft bastard, a box of jumped-up custard and some soggy chimps

E30 gloveboxes become difficult to close and prone to randomly dropping open when the bulkhead mounting points become weak / detached. This is caused by major structural bulkhead rust. You need to investigate and
we need pics !

Replaced the tailgate lock actuator & re-fiited the lock, proper central locking, happy days.
Then went for a drive, found a tunnel & ripped it in third......sounded sweet.
