Hating more doors is a joke. ( dont think im being biased both E30s iv owned have been 2 doors ) but this too many doors thing is silly. Some of the nicest E30s are more doors. Kitchs e30 for EG. I wish sometimes mine was a more door so i could run full buckets without the bother of passengers entering the backclipper wrote:What about a dedicated more door forum? Well, ill tell ya....... because it lacked a FOUR DOOR variant , thats why !!!!
2 doors were just unsuitable/awkward to get it too for most 80's thrusting executive types with families.
The saviour of BMW in the 80's, a 320 4 door auto !!!!!!
That is all, i have spoken.................

I think the sub forums for E46 etc is good idea
Think is good idea drifters get their own little section as E30 is popular car for drifting
As for stance scene am not really into that myself but why not. Plenty of E30s in the past and still do are not as in OEM spec. Very few are in complete OEM spec. OEM plus whatever that is don't count.
I can kind of understand some of the dislike for stance types but not drift types.
Think alot of decent steps been put in place to help improve the zone.
Should really be welcoming all E30 ppl
Also not sure if already done but any too questions include in a wiki or FAQ
And also recommendations section of e30 specialists that have been vetted and approved

Good postSteve wrote:You're right, there are other forums to cater for drifting and stance but just e30s, no? Should I delete the for sale forums because we have Ebay that sells lots of E30 stuff?
I know for a fact there are members on here with drift and stance projects, done to the highest standard that are to afraid to post. A lot of our members are also members of Driftworks and Stancework, which are both exelent sites !
If you think the Zone is a OEM only site, then you're on the wrong site, all I've ever asked is that you enjoy your E30, and enjoy them we will
Am not into stance type myself but I do love bootyman s e30

How about a range of sub forums each with photo galleries/photo sections for the E30 model/engine variants;
316i's
- 2 door
- chromie
- facelift
- 4 door
- chromie
- facelift
- touring
- chromie
- facelift
- bmw convertible
- baur convertible
318i's
- as above
320i's
- as above
323i's
- as above
325i's
- as above
Obviously there'd be lots of other specs/tuning companies/aftermarket stance drift crap that could get its own sub forums.....it'd make finding specific tech help or pics for a users E30 model easy to find and give it good organisational structure.
Thoughts?

Back in the 90s every time I went to the high street I used to see lots of "stanced" E30s and E36s all the time. I also remember the very first time I saw E36 M3 Evo in Estoril Blue on Cranbrook Road. Looked stunning. Might have been the week I came home after spending a whole week in the power train design department at Lotus learning how to use CAD. Anyway back then used to despise all the stanced stuff.
When ever I go on M3 Cutters I do not really like the stanced E46 M3s. But maybe because the E30 owners they ain't many of us about now and does have a council image I don't mind it too much but u cannot beat a good OEM of any model for sure

What about a 4 cylinder and 6 cylinder sub section or even a Sport (Bracknell Special section). Or is that too much segregation like in America back in the day blacks sat in the back of the bus and whites in the front ?
