cecotto479 wrote:I just don't get this.

You say this car meant the world to you, but was it not for sale recently?

You know someone who knows someone who knows where your car is? Another Zoner *appears* to have some info too.

Why don't you have your car back? And if you haven't got it back, why are these two people not either in jail or hospital?

What are the Police doing? When my trailer was stolen. They asked me if I knew who took it. My response was along the lines of, "I thought that was what you investigated?". Did they ask you if you knew anything? If so, what did you say?

What are your insurers saying?
Yes mate it was for sale and the car did mean the world to me.
It was up for sale as I was getting married and just bought a flat, I was in need of the money.

It didn't sell and i found other means to pay for what needed to paid for so the car was no longer for sale.

The police are doing nothing, i have given them all of the information i know and nothing.

Mate, if it was as easy as everone thinks then the car would be back with me.

It isn't easy as nobody wants to "grass" anyone up and nobody wants to get involved.

My priorites have changed, i now have a wife to look after, no matter what you lot think, a peice of metal is not worth the hassle when you have others to think about. A car can be replaced..people cannot.

At the end of the day, all I am asking is for people to keep an eye out, that's all.

You can think what you like, the facts are my car got stolen from outside my parents house while i was on honeymoon.

So if you see teh car around then please let me know, if you don't then keep your twisted minds to yourself.

Thank you.

Perhaps I was a little harsh and I appoligise, I just can't understand how you have not got it back yet? I really hope you do get it back, but with all the information you have it should be outside your house now. The guys that have the car must be nutters for you to be hanging around?

The amount of leads and evidence in this thread alone is enough to get this car back, your brother is a Policeman and you know people who know where the car is.

I'm lost for words.

Do you even want the car back?
Mate..

If it was that easy then yes i would have the car back.

I have leads but no address or names, just names that people "think may" have taken the car as "this is what they are like".

Not if the OP is - and I want to make it clear that I am not suggesting that he is, but it certainly see how it could look that way - in some way involved in the car's disappearance and using the zone as a bit of a smokescreen.

The car "means the world" to him. He wants us all to be vigilant and keep our eyes open for it or bits of it, yet he knows where it is or if not exactly where it is, who can find it, himself?! And his brother is a cop! Doesn't add up to me.

I certainly don't advocate vigilante action or violence, but I can't believe that there's nothing that could be done to ensure its recovery.

Apologies to the OP if that all sounds a bit harsh and accusatory, but I'll bet that if your insurance loss adjuster reads this thread, your cheque will be stopped forthwith. I hope you have been more forthright with them than you have with us, because on the face of it, this stinks.
so if i had something to do with the dissapearance then what would i do with a car that has been reported stolen?

Sell the parts on here?

Come on people, leave your suspect minds at home.

All i am asking for is help, if you see the car. not sure why i even bothered to be honest.

I didn't realise that asking for help from zoners makes me look like a crook.

Such a numpty that they had to take it whilst I was away on honeymoon right?

I'm certainly not accusing you of anything. I just pointed out that *on the face of it* it doesn't stack up. I thought your comments and actions seem a little suspicious without further explanation.

If you think I'm wrong, just answer this question truthfully:- would you be happy for your insurer's loss adjuster to read your contributions to this thread?

I or nobody on here has asked for "on the face of it" or what your opinions are.

This thread was supposed to be for people to keep an eye out in case they see my car around, the e30 world is small so i asked for a little help from here.

You or nobody on here has the right to assume or accuse anyone of the things i have been accused of. My car got stolen end of story, I don't need to prove to you or anyobody other than my insurance company and the police otherwise.

As for the insurance, i wouldn't be surprised if they have already read this thread, again I'll thank everyone on here for their comments which have probably contributed in some form for my insurance company to decline my cliam.

At first instance yes.

I am speaking with Lancaster and the insurance ombudsman as i feel the insurance company are being unreasonable.

Well il not comment anymore on this, of course I will keep my eyes open for you, as you rightly say the e30 community is small and a motorsport always turns heads so I'm sure it will show up somewhere, I still have pics on my phone from when I viewed so if I see it I'm sure il know if it's yours. Good luck mate

Look up the definition of "forum".

I have been very careful NOT to accuse you of anything and have explicitly said so.

I think you need to look a lot closer to home to attribute blame for your claim being denied.

I'm now confident you'll get your car that means the world to you back, undamaged, quite soon.

your confident hey..

mate seriously ,just keep your confidence and thoughts to yourself. Your comments are not helpful in the slightest.

what you think doesn't bother me in any way, what bothers me is either getting paid out for my loss or getting my e30 back.

Thanks for your thought but i think they need to stay with you, where they belong.

Guys, keep the postings on here civil. The original poster has asked for help with keeping a lookout for his stolen car in the event it is offered to anyone within the community, not a disection of his circumstances, armchair diagnosis of the situation in general or to recruit a vigilante group.

To bolt on to what E30BeemerLad says...

Posts like town325's (see previous page) are the reason this thread still exists. Yes this is set within a forum but consider this thread a notice board where users can post up valuable information. I'm sure the OP has thought long and hard about the problem so there is no need for discussion on who should do what and when.

Also consider this is a PUBLIC forum and as such your comments will be noticed. Think!

Unfortunately stolen property does sometimes happen but as magpie says above we must remain supportive. There have been some good comments and some poor ones too. Read now that except messages of good luck and info there is no space for accusation or repeating of the same thing within this thread. If you must do, do it via PM.

OK, so we all know what we're looking for:

If you see or are offered the car please contact the Police or the owner.

If you see motorsport spec parts matching the description you may wish to post up for clarification and certainly contact goldysingh.

Fingers crossed they'll be a resolution.
