I sold it in June 1998 and it was in excellent condition - solid shell, great engine. What a shame
Date it was last taxed.

Darkchild, where did you get that info? Is it publicly available, or do you have some sort of subscription service you pay for? I'd love to know what happened to CLC385T (you'll snigger when you see what it is/was)

haha, awesome. It's just been taxed (liability March 2009). It was the first car I bought myself - a maroon Vauxhall Viva!

It'll have the high rear floorpans as well.

That needs saving so badly. :D
I wouldn't be so sure, i'd guess it had the holes but they have been 'skimmed' over ! :)
No - the early cars didn't have boot vents cos mines the same and the bodywork is untouched. By May 83 they had them cos another 323 I know has boot vents.

When were the 4-door chromies introduced? Here's my first E30, a 1984 B-reg 320i in Henna Red with poverty spec (manual everything, including steering):

4 doors were announced to the press in late 1982 but didn't come to the UK until October 1983 (A reg).

This has to be quite an early one, built and registered before 1st August 83.

It still had the plastic blanking plate in the dash for the radio. Man, that thing took some abuse - Aylesbury to Potters Bar every day for 6 months and he's do it in an hour. 8O
I might know where that is mate? did in have some sort of front lip on it that went a bit floppy when the engine got hot or the weather was hot?

I sold it in High Wycombe, November 5th 1997. It didn't have a special front spoiler lip, just the standard one. I think it was APL84Y or something like that. No idea what happened to the Basalt turd!

It also had MiM alloys and a boot spoiler....plus a cracked head. It used to pressurise the cooling system and although it never actually overheated on the guage, after a long run you could hear the coolant gurgling away in the block. It burst the top hose so I went to Euros and replaced every coolant hose.
The reg was APL something Y, two digits. I doubt it's still going as it was pretty tired when I had it 10+ years ago.
