This one is seriously favourite, but they are still a lot of money at the moment, it's gonna be a real stretch to afford it, but sometimes you just have to say FCUK IT!!!

The 850 V12 is scary to maintain, but you'd just feel better off sat behind 12 cylinders, though you'd be able to relax a lot more in the V8 and actually enjoy it.

Before any of this happens though, I'm getting my 325 in tip top order, getting the 6 branch fitted and I'm going to enjoy it this summer.

i'm with ian332i and ant - i drive an an e30 because i want one. if i wanted another car it would be sat outside.

doesn't matter how rich we all get we still have to leave our cars somewhere. being car people are we really going to relax during a meal out knowing that we've left our 100k supercar down the street out of sight? nahh not for me - the e30 is nice enough to be cool and anonymous enough to leave anywhere without worry.

if i get a garage i might restore something interesting - say a tr5. or a volvo p1800, something rear wheel drive.

aspirationally though: a fazer 1000 (today at least, at the start of the year it was a speed triple) 120 bhp at the rear wheel, 160 mph and all day comfort. Ԛ£7000. bargain. that's the sort of thing i aspire to - and i know that i can walk down the road and get one any time i want, unlike a ferrari/porker/impractical posemobile purchase let's face it.

Exactly mate! That's why I said what I did - I'm happy with the e30 as a realistic option. It's all very well saying I want a gt500 'stang or a carerra 2.7rs, but it's not exactly gonna happen any time soon!

The only *realistic-ish* option at the mo, is something like a 7-rep as a second car... & I'm planning on gettin a civic like Daves as a daily driver...

I honestly can't think of another car that can do what an e30 can for me; Cool, RWD, fast, soft top, with decent practicality (4 seats & a decent boot). Any ideas?! & then take out the ones that cost 10x as much to buy & run...

Next car for me will probably be something like an E30 or E36 325i, I've had most of the silly cars I've grown up wanting - Lotus Excel, Toyota Celica, MR2, Audi Quattro, etc, etc.

Still really fancy a mint E24 635CSi or M6 if I win the lottery though.
