Not every one who buys the expensive ones does so in the hope of it being an appreciating asset.

No body likes you on this forum or most of the people that have met you.
I made a basic point and YOU have blown it way out of proportion!
You are making out like I don't like non original cars or project!
My own car is far from origial and ive had plenty of projects so you can stick that one.....
You sound like a divvy 13 year old girl in a playground, grow up.

Jeez, no wonder you're just a hi vis clad security type!
And P-LEASE don't try to lecture me on the classic car scene and the current maket!
I've been going to zone meets and buying and selling E30's and cars in general LONG before you even passed your test chump.
It's not the first time either and maybe you should practice what you preach and avoid posting nonsense

But Barry is right. You can never replicate originality. The smell of the interior as you open the door, the matt finish on the plastics, the firmness of the seats, the solid feel of the controls such as the indicator stalk, the flawless paint and panel fit and the knowledge that the nuts and bolts were tightened by someone on an assembly line on Germany, not some some herbert from Droitwich or Portsmouth.

it's only today that I saw an almost dead old pensioner in an 86' 325i Bronzit manual pre face (sadly four door) in a petrol station, she was rampant ! what a lovely turd he has owned it since new and it had obviously never been driven in anger.. it has covered 42k just stunning and totally period in every respect.
sadly it didn't smell like a new car .. more like pi5s... still, I gave him my number for when he retires from driving next year
