You've never even seen a single set of these in the flesh :/ let alone seen lots
They don't fray or easily come apart, these mats have had up to 30 years use and last amazingly well considering, you do get bobbling and fuzzing on edging , which is easily sorted, and probably worse wear on heavily used sets, but on mst I've seen the edging is always pretty good
Tip for anyone with these with fuzzy bobbly stiched edging -
Use a beard trimmer or flip out bit on electric shaver to carefully trim the fuzz, works wonders, and/or very lightly burn it with a flame from cigarette lighter and also melt/push in any loose thread, and a decent clean , can make them look great
