The exhaust on my IS isn't the best and wondered if it is IS specific.
Manifold looks fine, 2 into 1 section isn't as good, and the rest of it to the back probably has a year or two of life left.
Who supplies these systems and how much are they?
On another note, a place I used to work would be able to make up a batch of exhausts in stainless for the IS using my car and current exhaust as a pattern.
Their exhausts have been proven on Peugeots time and time again, and their 205 Gti stock hatch rallycross car won this season.
If there is the interest I'll look into it further.
318is exhaust questions - IS specific, where from, how much?

That's a hell of a lot more than I thought they'd be for a standard mild steel system.
I know with Peugeot 205 Gtis, Arvin make excellent pattern exhausts and the whole lot comes in at about £100 including downpipe.
Might have a word with Neal and see if he can price up a full stainless system for me.
Just have to be made in batches - probably 5 or more.

The BMW OE exhaust is mild steel, but has a life comparable to stainless. There are still a few E30s out there on the system they left the factory with.
Power wise, you won't improve much on the OE system, either.

I have a spare rear section (inc back box) at home. I replaced the full system on my 318is but kept the existing rear section because it was in good nick.
If interested it can go for £25. (Collect from Grimsby)
