Hi there
I can't tell you how much a new one is but used OE (not Weismann) can vary dramatically.
I had an OE blue vinyl h/top stolen last Christmas. It was valued by the BMW Car Club and I got £1,500 + VAT from my insurers as are they are NLA.
There are a couple for sale here at the moment and I would say that they represent good value for money. Pay anything from £550 ish to one with damaged edges (not stored properly), bubbles under the vinyl, sagging headlining etc. up to £1,000 for a mint one.
You get what you pay for!

AS i keep telling my brother, have a look on the German ebay.
I've seen numerous hard-tops sell for around 400Euro's which when converted to £'s, and either postage or a short trip to Germany is added, then it still works out cheaper than you could buy one here!
Not to mention that they're alot more common there than they are here, or would seem so as there is nearly always some on for sale on there
Obviously it doesn't mean they'll all sell for that price, but you need to keep an eye on it, and you can find a bargain!
Only other thing is to pay the going rate which seem to be £700+

I sold a mint one two years back for about 650, but that was a few years ago.
