Has anyone removed the cassette rack? Does it leave a useful storage space or a nasty hole. Has anyone done anything useful with said hole? Only beacause mine's broken so I need to replace or remove. Appreciate your thoughts - thanks

You can remove the individual cassette holdery things from their surround, & then make a bottom for it.... That way you end up with a bigger storage space than in the normal (non cassette holder) console :) Just pull it apart & you'll see what I mean!

Oh no not another compartment to fill with junk that never gets emptied

I was thinking of a cup holder, especially as my cassette holders pop-up during spritied gear changes. Anyone mangaed to get a can-shaped hole?

Someone on e30tech did make a rear section into a set of 2 cup holders.

It was made out of fiberglass and looked pretty gash.

Whats the point of cup holders anyway? You cant drink while driving!

/\ That doesn't look too bad... looks more like a bucket holder than a cup holder, mind!!!

Maybe the same mod, but made to hold a couple of cans/medium size cups would be better...

It was for some fat yank and his MankyDee's XXL diet coke.

I apologise if you are a fat, or even thin yank
