Some of you may know I am selling up, I have loads of spares including a 325 engine, a nearly brand new head, and a fullish touring to break, trouble is I cant seem to sell things. I know there a few bits already gone and that the festive season doth ye approach, but I thought people would tripping up to get at a full engine and the like.

Am I asking too much for a sweet sounding, clean oil, 100,00 mileish 325 engine with a 2.5 - 2.7 head thats spent it's life bolted to a automatic box? (£200) btw.

Or a cylinder head that was bought brand new, not reconned with a pressure test certificate only a trip from preston to tatton park old?
(£100).

What sort of prices would you guys pay? I need to get rid and I am pulling my hair out for sales, dont want to drop too much but a sensible price I thought I was asking.

Mark.

trouble is there are so many engines around for as little as nothing to 150 quid. Maybe you should have a re-think. Is the head complete or bare?

no you are not asking too much but as jacko says there are a lot of engines around even if yours is probably way better than most have you got service history to help sell it ? as for the head people are frightened of buying a cracked one but yours sounds good i wouldn't let it go too cheap the irony is you would probably get nearly that for a boot liner its a mad world!

Prices seem very fair to me Swindy and the fact that you have no negative feedback on here, also long standing zoner etc should go in your favour too winkeye

Personally id keep the `for sale` post going and just give it a subtle `bump` every couple of days?

`Boot liner` as in ......Clips on inside bootlid?
If so these are worth pretty good money.Sold one myself for around £40 in 6/10 condition.Saw a minter on Ebay a while ago for about £80 winkeye

Good luck!

I think I will put an updated version on today, the boot liner is actually a load liner for a touring. Just cant get anyone to delivery it for me!

hi

i have had the same problem in the past with selling stuff on here.

dont drop the price unless you really need them shifted as they seem fair to me especially the head.

try putting them in the ad trader and any other places you can think of to get a wider audience.

on a side note hows the new car eko?
