Hi,
I am after some uprated brakes for my E30 325, not anything crazy though.
Just 4 pot calipers for front and 280 discs for the rear.
And also hydraulic handbrake.
Can anyone advise of a good deal at the moment? Or where is best to source these parts.?
Thanks

If you want 280mm rear discs, then the z1 discs fit straight on, but they are over £50 each from BMW. You will need e30 m3 rear calipers and carriers to use in conjunction with these discs.
As for the front brakes, Keri-WMS on this site makes a great brake kit using 280mm vented discs and lightweight alloy 4pot calipers and brackets. Give him a PM for more details.

If you've got some time and access to a pillar drillbmcabs wrote:This is going to be a dedicated track car. I really want to buy a set like brembo but cant find anywhere to buy them from.
Cheers
This WILL work(tested for 35k miles)
E38 728i Brembos with Chrysler voyager(302mm x 28mm) disc
That's what I use om my Touring
You will need a minimum of 16" wheels with a 38-40mm offset
Looks something like this

Put that little setup together for about £300

For what it's gonna cost to have them shipped over here, import duty and vat.
It would be cheaper opting for the 280mm Wilwood kit from Rally Design

They are pretty hard to come by
They are fitted to some other models in the BMW range
Will PM you with details
Do you want to try them on the 28th October?

They do the job Jamiemaxfield wrote:Those are some beefy calipers Dave, I worked on a E38 728i in College and thought it was you who used them, they're defiantly beefy!
30,000miles to a set of bog standard off the shelf pads at £25 approx for a set
I'm a BIG fan of decent brakes
Another vote for WMS - I really rate mine now I've had chance to use them properly.

Good price too - you should be able to get a set of those on, plus Z1 rear discs and M3 calipers within your £1k budget.
You'll still be able to use the 15" wheel too which I'm sure will be your plan if you intend to build it as a track car.
