Luckily not the ones on my car, but i'm still a little pi$$ed off about it. They were round the side of my house. Admittedly, still in view of the road, but still...

Anyway, they were only 14" bbs', but I would have liked to have kept them, just incase...

i had my rear sub frame, dif with rear discs all connected, down the side of my mums house and my brother chased some lads off, how they would have moved it and ran with it is unknown to me?

then the scrap guys (rag bone men) kept walking down the side of the house, the frame was almost in the back yard and kept trying to just take it!

had to tell them a few times! its not like it was out the front of my house!!!!!! it was almost in the backyard!

im lucky i cought them and so did my brother, i feel sorry for you man.

I deal with loads of people like this, and I have to say it's not right. You should be able to leave your stuff where you like, but unfortunately you cant, people think they can make money of it so they just take it, it's o so wrong.

Baseball bat + knee caps = lesson!

What's the point in thieving! It's not big it's not clever and it's certainly not worth the risk IMO!

Have you seen the news about the guy in Cheshire who caught some kids kicking his car outside his house. They kicked him as well...to death!!

Can't believe it. This is a sickening story.

Sometimes its not such a good idea to catch people at it!

Well I aint too gutted - it's not like 14" bbs's sell for very much anyway, it's more the principal of the thing.

Plus they would have been my "messing about on" wheels...

I had a steel E30 spare wheel with a totally bald tyre in the boot of my old 316 - left it outside my house for a couple of days and someone nicked it! It wasnt as if it was in plain view either! Why nick an old steel rim with bald tyre?! Must have been for the steel but still!

When I lived in the UK everything that wasn't bolted down, and even those things that were, went walkies!

If you catch them they're not just going to stop doing whatever it is they're doing; if you hit them: you'll go to court and they'll get off; if you call the police: they'll arrive hours later if at all; and if you confront the wrong person: you die.

The law works for the criminal elements, and we have to suffer...........

Well I'm f*cked. I've just found that some scrotes made of with my 5 (yes 5) spare 15" BBS's from down the side of my garage. My drive is long enough to park 5 cars nose to tail and the garage is right at the end of this drive. They were out of sight (or at least I thought they were) and without tyres. They were a little scruffy but I was getting ready to have them refinished with the Nogaro centres as a spare set for my Cab. Luckily the centres were not on them and they only owe me 65 quid all in so it ain't the end of the world but I'm severely gutted. Not worth reporting it I reckon!

You are lucky mate its just your wheels.

In South Africa they will take your car and if you are in it the odds are you will be shot dead.
Alternatively they will nick your car from your lock up garage and probably clean out your house while theyre at it and do you in as well.

It is worse elsewhere BUT thats no excuse, crime is crime and no matter how small the crime the effects are devastating.

Still?! You can pick up decent set of 15" off flea bay for around the £100 mark? lol.

But as you say if they were mint with brand new tyres not so bad.. :)
