Good news that they've been caught with fake money, if they've got £300 quids worth there's no way they can claim they got duff notes in change or some other lame excuse. They've got to be fairly close to the source,so they're in the shit now! (unless they "cop a plea" yank style for information in which case they'll probably wind up in a ditch in a few years :) )

Whats with all the e30 pilfering lately?

I've got an alarm in the loft, think I'll fit that this weekend!

Good news on the car and was nice of you to get flowers for the old dear! I'm guessing the "deposit" went down to £270 after that! winkeye

If you do find out who/where they are, name and shame!

Forget the alarm. The average alarm, despite all its whistles and bells that modern ones come with, would delay me from having your E30 away for a matter of seconds!!
All you need to do is fit a concealed switch that SHORTS the fuel pump feed to earth.

Surely this is a "double whammy" for the Thieving SCUM :x that nicked your car. I would assume that PLOD will be a lot more interested in the use of funny money than the theft of the car??

As said above, good to hear of a car actually being recovered before it's too late!!!!

Really need to finish sorting out my security!! Found someone checking out my car the other evening - watched him from down the road for a couple of mins and then when i challenged him, he just walked off!! He had a good look round it though - won't be parking there again!!

So if I splice into this wire and fit a switch hidden in the "cockpit" then the car cant move?

You sir, are a hero!

Will still fit the alarm though as a deterrant for local scallies

The point is, that if any one tries to hot wire the ignition (very easy on an E30), then fuse 11 will immediately blow when the engine is cranked, engine will fire a couple of times, then die.
Keep a couple of spare fuses handy in case you forget to remove the short!

Using fake notes

Glad you got it back in one piece...

The fact they used the funny money will as said go against them, and might well clear a few other cases of the use of the cash to. :D

I would of much rather claimed the cash came from 'That hole in the wall I used'
