If you ever find a car with cat d and some rust i will trade a bag of sand for it then. Any catagory write off is bound to lower a cars value, however, your comment is fairly silly.

Paul, nice one mate i am looking forward to the pictures. Dolphin grey was my original favourite e30 colour before i owned my diamond black turd, i think dolphin grey is still the nicest. Pleased for you as I know how much you wanted one and its always going to be hard at 18/19? to fund one. Good effort mate.

Thanks Jon, i will post up some pics some time soon. I love metallic black also, but now I have seen dolphin grey in the flesh it has really grown on me.

Im 18 mate, so the fact the car is a cat D write off made it affordable. At the end of the day the way i see it it's simply got a new wing fitted!

I work as a loss assesor in the motor insurance industry. My comment was far from silly. (bag of sand = grand as in £1000?!)

Whilst there is most likely nothing wrong with the car, it will always be difficult to sell and will never be worth as much as one that's not registered on v-car. Speak to Chris-w about recorded cars, he recently had to break a near enough mint sport, because no one wanted it.

And Jon you'll always get more if for a car if you break it yourself, than if you sell it for parts. Time effort etc.

I remember chris's car, was very nice. I think on ebay it would have made 2.5k, depending on the cat rating.

Either way i didn't buy my car to sell it on, just to enjoy

e36boy - I will be careful in the wet, im not a very agressive driver, take it easy most of the time to be honest.

I have already removed some bits and replaced them. I put my black parcel shelf I trimmed in the sport. It has replaced a heavy lump of wood, carpet and staples! Was very hard to get the old shelf out, it was so big that the rear seats couldnt be bolted in properly. Much neater now.

The seats are a re-trim (almost certain), but they have been done to a very high standard.

I will do pics in about a month when I have sorted the car out .

WHAT!! I wont post on here but you know full well that you couldnt see arround some of those corners ;) My suspension was fine (lol), it was a wide road.

Bring on the summer, will have to do a few more eves out.
