anyone have an e30 sump guard?

i have a genuine one(i think), its not the later one which looks like a fire guard. Its the early one i think, that looks like a bent piece of metal with 2 hooks comming out of it.

Does anyone have one of these? if so then how do they fit on?

Put it like this, I wouldnt sell mine as long as I have an E30.

Its saved my M50 sump too many times.

When it comes off for the next engine swap I ought to get a quote for some copies

Those things on german ebay are definitely not going to protect your sump. They are made from thing aluminium plate and sit under the bellhousing, and the only purpose I can see for them is to collect any oil coming from your knackerd rear main. They also rattle against the front ARB if it's a big uprated jobby.

/\ Thats the strongest of the two /\

The two brackets that are on the ends of the tube sit on the chassis rails at the front, I can jack the front end of my car up on it.

Did you take that pic ed?

Looks familiar :?

Would anyone be interested in buying a copy of these if I can get some made up?

The plate may differ slightly but it will be corrugated for strength and the whole lot powder coat finished
