hi all not long since signed up although not a propper member cos i aint got an E30 but i am definately gettin one in the not to distant future. Just askin for peoples opinions on which one to get. i'm going for a 325i cos apparently it works out cheaper than buying a 316 according to insurance companies but i'm not complaning so getting back to the point i don't which one to get, do i get a tourer, which was my first choice and still the one i am wanting cos i thank the look class especially with the M-Tech body kit on, or do i go for a saloon which everyone else wants me to get cos they don't think i'll be saticfied with a "Family estate". Please help cos i aint a clue wot to get. Cheers.

hahahahaha, I get to correct Mr moore-

Touring its the choice of the next generation, and the only way to fly!

more practical than a 2door, prettier than a 4 door and better weight distribution to boot (literally!)

Seeing as three mods have posted and voted for tourers... I feel a little abuse of the admin priviliges is in order.

For a good cause, so this poor uneducated newbie to e30's can be convinced that the touring is the right option to go for.

*cough*fix the votes*cough*

tourings are by far the best of the range, especially with the m-tech 2 kit as you say.not as common to see around the streets so are that little bit more exclusive and look even cooler on decent alloys, low and tech 2 kitted up.

err....

Ok... but it wont look like a two door tourer.

It will still have the c pillars and breaks in the glass that a tourer has.

It will just look like you've welded up the doors.

What exactly defines a coupe, Max?

I've heard arguments for and against the 2 door being a coupe. I'd personnally say it was!!

The dutch actually built 2 door tourings before tourings existed IIRC. It would just look gay and barry.

I believe dips has a 2 door. One of six or something like that. search 2 door touring and you'll see it.

Not only would the welding look sh!t but the kit would be for a 4 door too, so will not be continuous. Then you'll need lots of filler. That my friend, is the route of all things barry.

You would also be labelled a male chicken

I'd say that the 2 door saloon is just that. THIS is what wikipaedia has to say on the subject... for what its worth.

Four-door coupé
a sedan with classic coupé-like proportions. The designation was first applied to the Rover P5 from 1962 until 1973 but was revived as recently as 2004 by the Mercedes-Benz CLS or a mazda xedos 6.

I had a 4 door coupe.

Its about the shape, not the number of doors.

E30 2 doors arent coupe's, they're 2 door saloons.
