Call them. I took my E30 in for a check up and they had one out the back, that they were prepping for sale. May still have it.

Get your arse to Italy or Portugal.
Find some on line, pack a bag and go for it.
Who cares about the language barrier, Shekels will speak for you!

I was looking to buy a 320is..
then my mate pointed out.. an m3 is a little bit more and for what you get with the is you might aswell have the whole hog and buy a wide arch touring car styled weapon with all the relevent parts to make it stop and handle just that little bit better.. I'll tell you now M3 brakes are 10x better than any e30 brakes!

Bollocks to this 24v scrap!
It's a good point and well made, but you also have an aluminium-panelled thief magnet. I think a 320is is pretty tempting if you haven't got a garage. Ant knows how to fit the brakes off a 750i with Audi TT discs which ought to sort the (admittedly very average) brakes.I was looking to buy a 320is..

An M3 will always handle better than any other E30 and I'd love one, but it takes some owning doesn't it?

If you want help finding one here, please let me know...
An M3 will stop and handle better yes... But the 320is is more discreet. I love to pass by many ricers with Hondas and so on with my 320is. They all get the look on this look on their faces: -How the hell did that old car passed me???
Here in Portugal they are worth almost as much as an M3. A very good one is only aprox 2000£ cheaper then an M3.

I have a double garage to use and owning an M3 is no harder than any other e30..
the M3 is awesome and tbh thief magnet, not so I dont think.. no extra risk than any other car in the car park.
lets be honest what good is a lhd car thats 18yr old to a car thief? none.. they would go for something easier to start and easier to drive and newer!

Think long and hard about buying an M3 or a 320is. The M3's are supieror cars but you could probably by either buy a mint 320is or for the same money a ropey M3, and that last thing you wanna own is a ropey M3, they cost a fortune to put right and will give you nothing but greif, either be a good mechanic or be very, very friendly with one!
I've driven and owned both and they are amazing cars in there own rights. If you have the money and can keep spending it, or enjoy track days, buy an M3. If you fancy something little more discrete, 'Q' car style, for everyday use and better on the wallet then buy a 320is.
I agree though, the 320is brakes are not upto the job!

OK I've spoken with them and it is still there. The owner of the garage is currently coveting it for himself and is unsure if he's willing to sell.tristan325 wrote:http://www.imc-online.co.uk/home.html

Everyone has their price though. If you really are serious about owning one of these, this is the chap to speak to, as he is a true enthusiast I would gladly buy a car from him. Especially his own one!!!

ok fair point.
to be honest though I was in the same situation and all my mates said but why get a 320is you will only regret buying it and always think I wish I had gone for an M3 instead. and it's true, I cant see a 320is being a patch on an M3 and tbh I dont think they ever will be.
If you can afford it go for an M3 no questions asked, I never want to sell mine it's an awesome thing not devastatingly fast nor phenominal handling in this day and age but the whole package is what it's all about and it does everything so so well
