Well.....23 years on after my car rolled out of the factory its showing its age a bit now, with rust in all the usual places. If i want to bring it back to how it should look i reckon it will need to new front arches, sills and 2 new rear arches.

Will be too much work i think to sort it and too much money. If it fails its next MOT looks like it will go to rest, as my dad wants it outta the way now i think.....

It has been an awesome car though!!! truly immense

it does sound expensive. Proabably cheaper to break it now and use the (limited) cash you get back to buy one in better nick. E30s in MOT'able condition can be found for well under 1k especially if your nut fussy about engine size, number of doors ect.

The thing with me is the trouble with getting insurance. Cant seem to find insurance for anythin for less than 1300 and thats in dads name on an iS. Cos really want to get my hands on an iS rather than just a 316i or 318i

your at uni, how much can your insurance be?

IS's are not actually any more than a 1.8 to insure, at least insurance companies don't seem to think so.

Whats your driving record like?

Try some good insurance companies, look in the back of some tart mag like max power (tho I've heard its gotton better) these insurers seek out male drivers.

Tho tesco sorted me out a treat at your age for far less, tr getting a qoute off them direct! Are you sure you entered your details correctly!

Go for a 325i sport lad! My insurance is £1800 for the year, i'm 19 years old. Under my name. Right enough i had to do it through my dads building company, only reason they insured me is because my dad pays them that much fucking money year in and year out. They said i had to be 21 before they insured anyone in a car over group 12, but made an exception for me :D Without them i would have been screwed, No normal insurance company would even quote me.

24 years old, been driving 7 years , 4 years NCB and got 3 points on my license, for my 320i it's £550 fully comp from Direct line.

Maybe worth a call to them, I was getting quotes of £1300  from other companies this year!

Rule of thumb is insurance is sh!t until you reach 25. DUe to the number of Barrys either not insuring modded crap heaps an driving like cnuts or insuring modded crap heaps and driving like cnuts. More risk, more premium.

try performance direct mate. i got a 325 with usual mods (induction kit, wheels exhaust etc) and its 280 a year fully comp with protected no claims.

thats with 7 yrs no claims but even with less it cant be too much.

my next nearest quote was £880!!!

insurance more than the car is just ridiculous.

Can't recommend Lancaster insurance highly enough - £600 fully comp for my 320i at the age of 21 with no NCB. Use their internet based quote system and tweak the options till you get the best quote
