hero chariot i'd say 1 of 62 built
the engine is not lightly modded! it's got 40bhp over a standard 3.5 M30 and is re worked in most areas
the 2 offical UK cars were the only 2 made without cats fitted for a bit of trivia!

I hade an alpine white one with gold stripes about 7 /8 years ago, i had it at the big donnington show with a vulgar for sale sign as usual !
I sold the car to a guy in rotterdam and had to deliver it.
One of the very few chariots i wish i still had. Incidentally forget the armchair gurus, it would p1ss all over any standard M3 and it made a noise to die for !

Yeah that place normally has quite tasty stock (its about five miles from here) but I was impressed by the 3 old school Alpinas!

I heard that 47 of the 62 cars originally converted by Alpina ended up in Japan.....
Rare and significant BMW's are criminally undervalued. Especially given that this B6S is probably one of only 15 in Europe

when i brought my red m3 about 8 years ago
this guy had a red b6 aswell as the red m3 i brought.
wonder if he still got it.
or if he on here and sold it.
you do notice the difference when the two are lined up next to each
other.
i mean this guy worshipped this car and wouldnt part with it then
and he used it.

Wasn't that the car that was featured in TBMW a few years ago?

the total bmw one was sold on after that article! or could it be another red one that Roy onws on here RJB6 is his online name. This one is undergoing a full on nut and bolt restoration!
Hi Simon13 I don't know if I'm half way there to finishing the B6,been working on it for 18mths or more, hopefully I shall be done the underside by this weekend, here's a few pics to show you where I am up to date, then I've got to do all the running gear.A few pics of the engine that's all in bits, had a job getting the piston rings but a mate got me some from the USA.So over the next few weeks I shall be leaving the car and working on the engine.

Simon I keep thinking to myself will It ever look like this again
and what keeps me going is the thought of driving it again

Looking good Roy
I noticed the M5 con rods and wondered if you have replaced bearings for them in your rebuild as i'd like the part numbers for them if you'd be so kind please ?
Are the bearings M30 or M5 ?
Does the block have piston oil squirters fitted ?
