Hi folks, here is the break down on the start and finish on the ledgendary "7sec ring master crash," and the trip and the prep of the tech1 325i Sport.

"note the law breaking speeds"

(PS, Topgear have been in touch and are looking at doing a feature, they said they are looking to return us back to the ring and film the a track day with Sobena (track driver) and us going around the track.

enjoy :)

It is meaningless to ask; which is real, 'real' or imaginary? It is simply a matter of which is the more useful description

Cool story, car doesn't look too bad considering its "off."

The amount of pictures taken are unreal, how many batteries and memory cards did you go for.

And "e30zone" haha, thats the second picture I have seen of that :D

there was to much pic's to upload on the site..

Nice report! :D

I've stayed at that hotel before, been to the 'Ring a few times in my trusty old Golf GTI 16v but this summer I will be braving it in my mates E30 325i, still taking my Golf but probably give the BMW a go on track too to see how it compares.

Getting to Dover is a pain isn't it from the North West? I'm going Hull to Belgium on an overnight ferry this time, always been via Dover in the past but fed up with all the travelling in the UK, it's SO slow compared to mainland Europe.

I don't know what it is about road trips but you always find somewhere with a stupid name.

When I was roadtripping through europe with a couple of mates we decided that we would avoid the motorway fees in Switzerland and use more minor roads - on our travels we passed through a place called C u n t, I kid you not!

I'm not imagining it suzie, I would say it could have been down to someone playing a joke with the sign, but everyone knows there is not a single person in Swizerland with a sense of humour.....

Outstanding write up and pics!!

I drove 2500 miles to Austria via Calais, Stuttgart, Ulm, Munich and Oberammergau last summer. My old 730i had just clocked over 250'000 miles so it deserved a trip home. Absolutely roasting hot weather and no car trouble at all. It just romped it.
