I could possibly sell the cars I've got and buy some modern pile of crap, but I'd rather drive something with character. I'm also very allergic to depreciation! So, in answer to your question, as far as I'm concerned Opel Mantas and e30s are wicked cars.lots of old fellas on the zone who should know better. makes me feel sad to see 40yr olds playing with 1k cars... surely working all those yrs you'd have a wicked car by now

I drive a 325 touring because i want to not because it's all can afford .
It's a wind up aswell the amount of people that take the piss but , because they're all caught in the keeping up with the joneses trap they cant buy an affordable classic . i do what i want and never follow the crowd unless its an e30 crowd.

I'm not quite old, well I keep telling myself that anyway. But by the time I'm 40 I want to own a 1949 mercury coupe. I have always wanted one, along with a few other classics... I intend to work my way back from newer cars to older cars as I get older.
I could never buy a new car, or even nearly new. Depreciation is a mugs game.

Love the way this topic has gone from 'how old are you?' to 'how old are you and what do you drive?' and now seems to have moved onto 'how old are you, what do you drive, how long have you been married and how many kids do you have?'
I'll add 'wife' (not married, 10 years and counting) 2 kids, holly and dexter, twins @ 3.5yrs old to the list to go with the flow.

I'm 30 and only been a Ford man until 2 weeks ago when I bought my first E30 (and Beemer for that fact). My god, I wish I'd bought one years ago and saved all that money on Dagenham wheely bins.
The Tourers perfect for carting the family around, and perfect for when I want to blow the cobwebs away when I'm on my own.

hehe, thats about right. They were all cheap and cheerful cars, nothing special so nothing worth looking after. As soon as something serious broke, they were ditched. Its simple bangernomics...... Plus all of the cars listed were owned between the age of 17 and 21, i was young and foolish. I may not have sold many... well any... but I had a damn good time with them. Then there was a 3 year gap with no cars due to a long ban and money problems.
The only car worth spending money on was the mazda I got when I was 24, and that's left a very bitter taste in my mouth. I spent about 4 grand on that thing only to have it torn away from me by some c*nt in a bodyshop.
This one I intend to keep though, have always wanted an e30, and always will.
hangon, scoupe, turbo scoupe that died.... do you have an afro?
Do I know you from another forum?!

fancy that, small world eh.
I dont post on sss anymore, got fed up of being told off for telling people their corsa's were sh*t.
Good to see you've got over your weird Scoupe fetish and moved onto a proper car
