Don't suppose anyone here's had any dealings with Ireland Engineering have they?

I'd just like to get a bit of background on them before I spend a mountain of cash with them and I'm a bit worried that they haven't replied to more than one e-mail. (that said, e-mails do just vanish so it's probably nothing)

Cheers!

Alex

Alex they are good, but they are over worked like the rest of really good outfits.

I cant see there being a problem with you spending money there.

That's more encouraging than one of the answers I've had on e30tech.

I really wanna go with them as they sell exactly what I want, should give them a call really I guess. :D

Cheers Andrew :)

Mainly e-mails going unanswered and them trying to process a cancelled order.

Hopefully it's nothing, but they replied to an e-mail from me straight away and said they'd find out about carriage to the UK the next day. Since then I've heard nothing which is a shame as I wanna get this project moving! :(

Coolio, you still got my number dude? Usually get in from work at about 6 (if I'm lucky!)

I'm really hoping they can come through on this!

PM Ian332isport, I asked the same question a month or two ago and he pointed me in the right direction, www.flyingbrickperformance.com iirc. They do the IE stuff.

Yea they always had good reviews on BEN (Bmw E30 Network) Think they even advertised there, back in the day.

They are a good reliable and reputable company. My only reservation is the amount they wanted to charge for shipping to the UK. This is why I used Flying Brick. They were actually cheaper on the parts by a small amount, but 50% cheaper on the shipping costs. Ireland wanted about $128 to ship some (not all that heavy) parts. Flying Brick shipped the same parts for approx $65.

They've said it'll be $313 to ship a stroker kit which must be fairly heavy.

BMA said $280 on shipping but the rods (which are the same!) would cost over $850 so it's a toss up between the two.

There is a third option but we're waiting to hear on that one :D
