Im sad to say that I smashed my old 316i to pieces this morning.

I was at the back of a long line of cars going up a hill with the full sun on the brow of the hill. A queue built up on the other side of the hill (blind side), people on my side had to hit their brakes very hard, but those of us coming up the hill at 35mph (well spaced) couldnt even make out that any cars had stopped / braking as all we could see was the black silhouette of the car infront, no details like brake lights etc. When we got close enough to see what was going on ahead it was too late. Road was wet too,so just skidded until I hit.

I couldnt do anything and just smashed into the car infront.

I have spent the past 10 months slowly resolving the issues the car had when I got it and apart from over fuelling she was nearly there.

Even though I bought it as a commuter car to save my MR2 I have to say that the old E30 put a big smile on my face and I will never forget her!!!

Farewell E30 Zone - thanks to all who helped me - this is a really great club!

R.I.P Calypso Red 316i :(
