How much does an E30 325i Touring weigh?

I'd like to tow my drift car on a trailer with it, but I need to know the weight to see if I need to abandon the idea altogether and get something heavier

Really? That's nowhere near heavy enough

1310Kg for mine, actual weight on a weighbridge, with whatever fuel was in it, plus all the junk that usually lives in it.
I've towed the odd E34 on a trailer behind mine. Doesn't feel all that stable though!

Hmm ok lets say 1300kg then, plus the stuff that's always going to be in the car when I'm towing - which is me, a heavy jack, two wheels and tyres and a load of tools, so call it 1400kg.

So if I get a trailer that weighs 400kg and my drift car which is ~1000kg I'm right on the limit!

Its looking like I need something bigger isnt it

I think the recommendation is ideally to tow 75% of the cars weight it is not ?

according to my BMW bible although this applies to Germany dont know what it states here but trailer load limits:

unbraked 500kg
braked, max gradient 12% (1 in 8.3) 1200kg.
