Hi, im Tony from sunny South London, a few days ago I bought myself a E30 325i coupe on a G plate for the pricely sum of £100. Needs mot & ABS sensor as rubbed on tyre after fitting new shocks, wasnt clipped back onto the shock properly.

In the last two years (1000miles) its had:
New gas shocks allround
New clutch
New cylinder head
New radiator
New engine mounts
New balljoints
New cambelt kit
New exhaust system
4 x avon 205/55/15 tyres
New thermostat
New Plugs/ Leads & heat shields.

Its near standard aside from drilled discs allround, bit of surface rust on one door & few small dents around the car, needs box soon as sometimes pops out of third. its been sat since august last year ocasionally driven round the block. Interior is mint with no rips or burns etc.

I was gonna break it, but after having a good look around it yesterday, its too clean to break so if anyone has an ABS sensor for the front, PM with price & payment details.

Thanks & I look forward to posting more on here. :D

Looks an excellent buy - the wheels alone are worth far more than you paid for it!
Rear wheelarches look good (most important thing on an E30, IMHO), front seats as well. Even the manual sunroof handle still appears to be intact.
It has that look of a generally neglected car (surface rust spots and green mould), but that is just minor stuff, although it looks like all the mechanical side of things has been well taken care of. Real bargain!

Bargain.
Looks like you need to drive it a bit, those front discs look neglected.
I've got some spare sensors and an electric roof if your interested.
There is NO nucleus.

Yeah, it needs a good run & cleaning up + a few coats of polish/wax. See how its goes when I take it for a MOT, that will be the decider I think...

Martin aston you have PM.

Welcome to the 'zone - if it MOTs, may I suggest that you get yourself a Tech-1 steering wheel - they are much nicer than the plastic one you have now.

Looks like a steal! Best to ensure the car has sufficient fresh anti-freeze, particularly at this time of year (325i heads can be a bit fragile - don't let the coolant mix go stale.)

Good luck with it :)

Is there a specific way to refill the coolant system? The previous owner said they are a pig to bleed air locks?

Dude, don't break it! They'll be none left soon.

It's in way too good condition to break if all that's needed is a new sensor - hell I 'll give you one for free if you don't break it!

Welcome.

There is a drain plug at the bottom of the radiator; drain off say, a litre and replenish with fresh anti-freeze in the header tank, then run the engine. It should all mix in nicely. Repeat as necessary until you have the concentration (%) as stated on the anti-freeze bottle or in your Owners manual.

If it's had a new rad and head recently the coolant shouldn't be all that stale. Worth checking the concentration though.
With the work it's had done recently it should sail through the MOT (assuming you check silly things like bulbs and wipers etc). Only major things that aren't mentioned and are common failure points are the rear crossmember bushes and the rear brake pipes.

With the 'VRX' number plate that might be an ex BMW Bracknell car. Ring up your local $tealer and get the spec list from the chassis number (last 7 digits). It might have an LSD for example - who knows!

Looks like a steal for £100. A lowering spring kit and a weekend cleaning/valeting and doing the little bits with an aerosol can would transform that.

Nice work!

Nice buy :D

Your coolant level does look low from your pic, either that or there is no antifreeze in it at all
